A few weeks ago, Lady Antebellum surprised one of their biggest fans by appearing unexpectedly on the ‘Anderson’ show and singing a few acapella lines of ‘Need You Now.’ But last night (May 22) in Augusta Ga., the tables were turned with the high school marching band from Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley’s alma mater showed up to blow Lady A away.

The surprise came on the eve of the award-winning trio’s 200th episode of Webisode Wednesdays. As they started playing their latest hit ‘We Owned the Night,’ the Lakeside High School marching band took the stage, backed by a solid drum beat. In the video, you can clearly see Hillary, Dave and Charles slack-jawed with surprise. Fans in the audience could hear vocalist Hillary Scott shriek, “What’s going on?” And she screamed in delight a few times more before the set was over.

As the band started playing the melody to ‘We Owned the Night,’ the trio looked on in amazement. Backstage, when the surprise was over, all three country stars raved over what had just happened.

“They surprised us with a marching band,” Scott exclaimed. “It was so cool!”

“Our show is so dialed in after all these months of touring that it takes a lot to surprise us,” said Lady A’s Dave Haywood in a statement. “A full marching band did it though! It was incredible…I’m sure we had a ‘deer in the headlights’ look. I can’t believe we’re at 200 webisodes already. We have so much fun making them with Adam Boatman, who puts them together for us each week. He really deserves all the credit.”

Webisode Wednesdays have become a staple for fans of the ‘Wanted You More’ hitmakers. Every week, Lady Antebellum give fans an up-close-and-personal view of their happenings. Tallying more than 3.7 million hits, the short video clips have kept fans up-to-date on all things Lady Antebellum since the band’s inception.

Don’t forget to tune in for the next unforgettable episode! Also, you can view previous websiodes on the band’s official website.
