Laurel Homicide August 2nd, 2014
When I heard of the suspected homicide in Laurel over the weekend, my first thought was how many murders have there been in Laurel since the year 2000. The most notable murder in Laurel was back in 1998 with the unsolved Miranda Fenner murder.According to published records in Laurel, Montana there have been zero homicides since 2000.
Just before midnight on Saturday, August, 2nd a 40-year old man is dead after a suspected stabbing. The report and details available are rather vague as the the death has been described as a “cutting incident”. The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
The crime happened in the 700 block of East 1st street in Laurel on Saturday night at 11:48 p.m. One suspect has been arrested and booked into the Yellowstone County Detention Center on suspicion of deliberate homicide. The suspect, like the victims name has not been released.
