Lauren Alaina suffered a bit of a headache over the weekend when her car was broken into. While in Fort Oglethorpe in her native Georgia on Sunday (March 17), someone forced their way into her parents’ Kia Sorento, which she had left parked near the Florida Monument at Chickamauga Battlefield while she and a friend enjoyed a bike ride.

The Fort Oglethorpe Police Department confirmed the break in. Several items were lifted from the vehicle, including clothes and other personal belongings. From what little information is available, it sounds like a minor burglary in that not much was taken, but Alaina’s privacy and personal space was most certainly invaded and her security breached.

It’s somewhat surprising that Alaina still drives Kia, of all things, as she did win a red hot Mustang convertible as the runner-up on ‘Idol.’ That car that was bit too “big” for a 16-year-old (at the time) and one she felt more comfortable letting her mother drive.

Persons who may information regarding the theft from Alaina’s vehicle are encouraged to report it.
