Lenny Cooper is preparing for the release of his third studio album, and he's giving readers of The Boot an exclusive first look at the video trailer for the project's first single, 'Lights On.'

'The Grind' is set for release later this month via Average Joes Entertainment. The new project features special guest appearances from Bucky Covington, Colt Ford, Bubba Sparxxx, former 'American Idol' contestant Sarah Ross, Tyler Wood from Discovery’s hit reality series 'Moonshiners' and more.

'Lights On' is already available in advance of the album, with the full video soon to come. The trailer above shows Cooper and some friends during a fun night on the town, underscoring the song's central theme of "Don't turn the lights on . . . ain't nobody tryin' to go home."

The South Carolina native was discovered on YouTube after he posted a video titled 'Mud Digger' and tagged Colt Ford. He intended to simply make music that would be a suitable soundtrack for mud-bogging -- his favorite pastime -- but the video went viral, receiving more than two million views.

Since then Cooper has received enormous exposure through Average Joes' 'Mud Digger' compilation series, which has sold more than 300,000 units overall. He's been featured in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, and since the release of his previous album, 'Mud Dynasty,' in 2013, he has seen a 750% growth in social media, with more than 126,000 Facebook likes, 2,380,000+ Pandora plays in the last 30 days and more than 10 million YouTube views.

In addition, Cooper is a featured character in the recently-launched Average Joes comic book series, whose second issue is slated for release in August to coincide with 'The Grind.' He has partnered with automotive suspension company Rough Country to cross-promote his music, and he will be a featured performer on the 2015 Monster X Tour.

'The Grind' is set for release on Aug. 26. It is currently available for pre-order at iTunes, with 'Lights On' available instantly for fans who pre-order the entire album.
