When you're alarm clock goes off at 3:30 am, it always rings too early.  It was especially brutal for Mark Wilson this morning.  Mark was running on fumes after attending the Tim McGraw concert last night.

Here's a few of Mark's observations from the show:

1.  Those $5 beers weren't stopping people from drinking.  There's been a lot of debate about Metra Park's decision to raise the prices on some concessions.  A Billings city councilman even argued that the increase will make entertainment to expensive for families.  Well, we saw a lot of people there were their kids.  And those folks who left the kids at home were enjoying plenty adult beverages.

2.  Hanging out backstage isn't as glamorous as you think.  While Mark was waiting (and waiting, and waiting) to make a stage announcement before Tim McGraw, he was approached by two young ladies who asked if he could introduce them to Tim.   He laughed and told them that they had a better chance of talking their way into Tim's dressing room than he ever will.

Mark did get into the "VIP pre-show Party". Tim McGraw didn't sign autographs or pose for pictures, but he did play a 30 minute acoustic set, which was awesome.

3.  Tim McGraw has a lot of hits.  It's easy to forget how long Tim's been around until you see him live.  Every song is a big hit.  And he's got a ton of 'em.  As for the opening acts, Mark thought Cassidy Pope was just ok.  He did like Kip Moore's brand of rockin' country.  And, of course, Tim sounded great.

4.  The Ladies Love Tim McGraw.  Tim's a good looking guy. He keeps his body in excellent shape.  And the ladies lose their ever loving minds.  For a moment there, Mark thought he was watching a boy band.

All in all, it was a great show.  Thanks to all of the Cat Country listeners who stopped by the tent and said hello.
