I had a great time at Billings Bacon Fest and wanted to share some memories from the 2015 edition.

Well over 2,000 were in attendance and at first sight, the crowd was a bit intimidating. Luckily, all of the vendors were seasoned pros, ready to deal with a hungry crowd. I reluctantly got into a long line to try one of Stacked's Bacon Siracha Deviled Eggs (which ultimately won Best In Show) and was expecting a 20-minute wait. Less than five minutes later, I had my egg. This was the story with every vendor I sampled. All of them were working hard for hours, keeping lines moving and people fed. Billings isn't really regarded as a "foodie" town, but we definitely have some culinary talent here and I enjoyed everything I tasted.

In addition to the vendors, I have to give a shout out to the band. Downtime sounded incredible. They had a very diverse crowd to entertain and they delivered great sounding music from just about every popular genre. At one point, one of the members remarked, "We finally got to play the Metra!" I'll be keeping an eye out for this band.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible and to everyone who came out to support the event. We'll see you next year!
