“Michael Jackson HIStory II” at the Alberta Bair Theater Was Awesome!
Last night was completely awesome! At the last moment, I decided to take my son and a friend of ours daughter, to the Michael Jackson HIStory II show. I had some reservations about going at first as the ticket prices were a bit out of our price range for a show, but I have to tell you. Best decision ever!
The show started just after 7:30 p.m. at the Alberta Bair Theater and then it was on! The costumes were awesome, the singing was okay(he kind of sounded like Michael), but the dancing was amazing! The impersonator, Kenny Wizz, is a phenomenal dancer. He had all the best moves down and his back up dancers were pretty darn good themselves. No one is ever going to be able to mimic MJ exactly, but this guy was…well, he was a “Wiz”. Ha!
I don’t think we sat for even a half hour of the show! Much to my son’s somewhat dismay. He’s not that tall yet, and had to do some fancy maneuvering in order to see over some of the heads of the people in front of us. But we made it work. We sang and danced and laughed for almost three hours!
If they ever come back this way again, I would highly recommend going to this show. However, I would put out a request that the ticket prices be lowered quite a bit. The show had every potential of being sold out, but I think the prices probably scared off quite a few people.
Here’s a video of Kenny Wizz doing Michael Jackson’s “Billy Jean”. Take a look and let me know what you think of him in the comments section below. The video doesn’t really do him justice, but it will give you an idea of how good this guy really is.
