Micro-Refinery Most Likely Coming To Billings!
The company representing a Micro-Refinery addressed the county commissioners on Tuesday, August 19th.Commissioners Bill Kennedy, John Ostlund and Jim Reno seemed impressed with what Andrew Kacic from Quantum Energy presented to them.
The refinery would produce a 20,000 barrel a day capacity as will the other 4 micro-refineries. If the plan works there will be three in Montana and two more in North Dakota, all processing Bakken crude oil!
80 to 100 acres of land is being sought out in Billings to make this project work. The details of the sight location search has not been released. If all things work out there could be up to 600 construction jobs by Spring of 2015 and 150 full time positions at the refinery itself in Billings. It is said,
permanent employees would make at least $100,000 per year- Andrew Kacic
