'The World's End' star Simon Pegg has been involved in the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise twice already. Though fans were probably expecting this, the actor has confirmed he will be back in the saddle for 'MIssion: Impossible 5.'

While out promoting the Blu-ray release of 'The World's End' with his buddy and co-star Nick Frost, Pegg told MTV News that he will "absolutely" be back for 'MI5,' which brings back Tom Cruise once again as Ethan Hunt. "I've already started eating one carrot a day in order to be in shape. Actually, that's not good for you to do that. Don't do that."

The fifth installment, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed Cruise's 'Jack Reacher,' was recently slotted in for a Christmas 2015 release just one week after J.J. Abrams' 'Star Wars: Episode 7' will open. Any guesses on which will reign supreme at the box office?

Aside from his comedic turns, Pegg has had some serious success in the action blockbuster arena with 'Star Trek' and 'Star Trek Into Darkness.' He's also starring in the upcoming Kriv Stenders thriller 'Kill Me Three Times,' which features three different stories from different perspectives. Check him out below as an armed assassin:
