Gov. Steve Bullock has announced that he plans to sign an executive order to address Indian health disparities in Montana.

He said American Indians live 20 years less than non-Indian Montanans. No. 1, they have the same access to health care as the rest of us. And, No. 2, the reason they live fewer years is because of alcohol and drug abuse, along with assaults, homicides, and DUI-related  accidents.

Don't blame their longevity on Montana's health care system. You can blame it on their own acceptance of their current culture. Until they do something to change it, our help will be futile.
