And now another reason not to let your kids get their drivers licenses before they're 50. According to a new study released by the University of Michigan's Transportation Research Institute, Montana is the 3rd most dangerous state in which to drive with 17.3 deaths per 100,000 people... just behind West Virginia and South Carolina which are tied for 1st in a category in which no one wants to win a trophy. I'm guessing it has to do with a combination of lousy winter driving conditions and the fact that Montanan's put back more beer per capita than other states. So before you make that yearly trek to Deadwood or the camping trip to Glacier National Park make sure your airbags are in good working order, check your tires and tighten your seat belt.
