Being happy is something that most of us try to accomplish every single day but unfortunately it can't always be uplifting.

WalletHub conducted an in-depth analysis of 2016's Happiest States in America. To find the states that are home to the happiest Americans, WalletHub's analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 28 key metrics. The data set ranges from emotional health to income level to sports participation rate.
