According to a report for the website www.attendanceworks.org 26% Montana's 4th grade students miss 3 or more school days per month and 29% of 8th grade students miss 3 or more days per month. Those are the worst percentages among all 50 states. Since I'm doubting they skipped school to go to the bar (probably why Montana workers miss so many work days) and the game arcades that were such a big deal when I was growing up don't exist any longer so I started to wonder why and here are my theories:

1. They have a job at night and they're sleeping in. Pfft, today's youth getting a job. I'm funny. Okay, maybe not.
2. Montana students are sick more often than the rest of the country. Considering our clean air and healthy outdoorsy lifestyle here in The Treasure State that doesn't seem likely.
3. It's President Obama's fault. Bingo!
