Billings Police File

Child Rapist, Stacey Rambold was released from prison on September 26th after serving the 30 day sentence that Judge Baugh handed down in August.Rambold was released in the morning, arrived back in Billings to the Probation and Parole office at about 1 p.m..

After about a 90 minute meeting with the Probation and Parole Supervisor, Chris Evans, Rambold ran out of the building and did not stop for any media.  Therefore there is no official statement from Rambold himself.

According to documents there are 59 conditions that Stacey Rambold must follow during his 15 years of probation for the rape of 14 year old Cherice Moralez.  First and foremost he must register as a sex offender.

As you can imagine the family of Cherice Moralez is not at all pleased with the sentence and now the release back into Billings society.

The mother of Cherice Moralez said, “30 days isn’t justice. We’ll see what happens. And apparently with the courts, anything can happen.

We tried a different approach to get reaction from Billings citizens on the Billings Morning News.  We asked our listeners to describe their reaction to the release of Stacey Rambold in one word.
