My Picks For This Weeks’ Football Games

As you're probably aware by now we are conducting a weekly Pro Football Pickem' Pool here on the Cat Country website. If you pick the most winners you'll get $50 in Fudd Bucks and some Miller Lite and Coors Light swag. Then you and the other 16 weekly winners will be put into a drawing to win the grand prize... a whole suite of furnishings for your man cave or den. 2 recliners and a TV stand from Ashley Furniture, a 50" Plasma screen TV and a beer fridge from Miller Lite or Coors Light which will also have either the 'Cats or Griz emblazoned upon it. Week 2 begins with tomorrow nights Thursday night contest so I'm here to help you out. I've made a fair bit of coin betting on football games in Vegas (as long as I'm not betting on the Rams which are my team). So here are my picks for this week:

NY Jets over New England (Tom Brady's top 2 receivers from week 1 are hurt and they barely beat Buffalo with both of them in the game)

St. Louis over Atlanta (it's my team and I'm being a homer but Atlanta played horribly in week one and got beat, the Rams played bad and still won)

Carolina over Buffalo (The Bills have rookie QB)

Chicago over Minnesota (The Bears O-Line is giving Jay Cutler the best protection he's seen since he was a Bronco)

Green Bay over Washington (GB should have beat the 9ers and would have if the refs hadn't screwed up)

Indy over Miami (This will be a close one but I picked Indy because they are at home)

KC over Dallas (This is an underdog pick but to win these pools you usually have to correctly pick an upset or two and Andy Reid has KC looking great)

Philly over SD (Losing your home opener by coughing up a 3 touchdown lead as San Diego did on Monday night doesn't bode well for the season)

Baltimore over Cleveland (Gimme)

Houston over Tennessee (Coming back on the road after spotting the Chargers a 3 TD lead speaks to the heart of the Texans)

Detroit over Arizona (The Cards are better with Carson Palmer at QB but Ndamakong Suh and the Lions offense will be too much for them to handle)

New Orleans at Tampa Bay (The Bucs found a way to lose to a Jets team with a rookie QB. They're gonna get crushed)

Oakland over Jacksonville (Yes, the Jags are THAT bad. Look for Chad Henne to replace Blaine Gabbert at halftime)

Denver over the Giants (Look for the Giants D to hold Peyton Manning to just 4 TD passes)

San Francisco over Seattle (The Seahags are good but the 9ers are scary)

Cincinnati over Pittsburgh (The Steelers long decline begins)
