There are days when my job is so tough!  Being in Radio for 31 years, I've gotten to meet many music stars, not just country, but mostly country.

Over the years I have been blessed to meet the likes of Ray Price, Crystal Gayle, George Strait and Reba McEntire.

I also had the chance to meet a fresh-faced country singer from Oklahoma that was just coming onto the music scene.  Perhaps you may know him, a guy by the name of  Garth Brooks.

My point is that being in Radio gives you a chance to meet new and up and coming singers in the industry, one of which I was lucky enough to meet today.

His name is Brandon Holland, and he stopped by the Cat Country Studios today to give us a private show of his Born to Roll Ep.

With just his guitar, his charming smile and blue eyes, Brandon entertained us for about 45 minutes. Check out this video we shot of his performance.

Brandon, who has been writing his own songs since he was 12 years old and playing dances as a teen, was surrounded by music growing up. He says he is persuing a dream his father never got to achieve.  Brandon's dad passed away when he was only 5.

Brandon has spent the past four years traveling the country visiting radio and opening for artists like Florida Georgia Line, Bucky Covington and Casey James.

I am super excited for his first single "Blame It On The Whiskey" to hit radio on July 23.

Check out Brandon on Facebook and brandonhollandmusic.com.   We did make him promise us one thing, that when he is famous that he won't forget his new friends here at Cat Country.
