No Dogs Allowed at the Downtown Billings Farmers Market, but Why? [Opinion}

Billings residents can be fined up to $300 if they bring their dog to Farmers Market. Probably not a smart move with all the people and kids in one spot.

City officials say it's because of all the food in the area, you know health reasons.We allow dogs everywhere, city parks during picnics.Our dogs always eat with the family.

What about all the animal shows by the midway at the fair. The refreshment stands are in livestock barns for goodness sake.

We have bring your dog to work day in Billings.  Don't use food safety as the excuse. It's either you don't want anyone to be bitten or jumped on, or somebody knows somebody. Dont candy coat it.
