No “Official” Drought Yet

Billings is 2 inches behind normal for moisture so far this year.  A no burning ban is in place for Yellowstone County, yet the official drought monitor does not have us in a drought situation.

These people are certifiably nuts.  There's no sub-soil moisture, its almost 100 degrees, grass is dead, trees have no moisture content, and rivers are lower than normal.  How and the hell can they say we are not in a drought?

I guess we should all start growing pineapples now.....
