No Winners No Losers

A recent psychologist on Fox news said that people are putting too much emphasis on winning rather than effort or encouragement. To me, that indoctrinates the attitude that all things should be fair, no matter how hard you work. Let's turn that around then; do you think awards should be given based on fairness rather than merit? No, once you take incentive and reward away from hard work, accomplishment and productivity decline. We should all set our sights on being number 1 and teach it at an early age the rewards outweigh the disappointments.
