The last time I lived in Billings, granted it was the lat 80's/early 90's, it only took a day to find a house.  I moved 3 or 4 times while I lived here, and it never took more than a day or two to find a place.

Welcome to Billings, 2012.  It took about a month to find a house.  Not a really nice house, not a house in a great neighborhood.  It's just a place to park for a bit, and find the house I really want, and quit spending $700 a week on hotel rooms.

Now, let's talk about getting into the blasted place.  Unfortunately, the prior tenant was evicted.  She had until last Tuesday to get out, and we were supposed to start moving our things in on Friday of last week.  Well... as of last night she was still in my house!!!  Not only will she not just get the hell out of there, but she has excuse after excuse after excuse.  Look, when you're evicted, there's a reason.  So get your stuff and move on, for the love of Pete.  We had to go so far as to shut the utilities off, just to make her move her tush.

Now, we are still at the hotel, and my reserves are completely exhausted.  I have a good landlord, however, there's only so much he can do.  If she doesn't get out by tomorrow, she will be helped by the Sheriff.  My goodness, what have people, and the housing situation in Billings come to?  I have never in my life seen anything like this.
