This morning, the Flakes opened up the phones for One Line Monday.  This week's question was, should expecting mothers (and/or fathers) get paid leave when they have a child or medical procedure.

Of course, we all agree that Family Leave is a good thing.  Expecting mothers should have a job to come back to after they give birth, but should their employer have to pay them for their time off?  After all, the boss wasn't there when that child was conceived.

Almost everyone who called in, including several women, agreed with Mark and Paul.  Employers already struggle to deal with the new health care legislation and keep the lights on.  And the company has to find other people to fill in when a expecting mother gives birth.
