This morning, Mark and Paul discussed the movement to legalize marijuana for recreational use here in the great state of Montana.  We heard good points from both sides of the argument.

A few listeners pointed out how much the state could generate in tax revenue if recreational weed was available at retail outlets.  Lord knows our state's pension system is already broke.  Paul pointed out that it might even make things easier for law enforcement, who will have one less thing to worry about it.

But then there's real cost.  What affect would this have on our children.  One caller told the Flakes about a recent trip they took to Colorado, where recreational pot was legalized earlier this year.  A gal behind the counter at Wendy's was so stones, she asked them three times if their order was to stay or to go.

One thing's for sure.  There's already plenty of people who don't mind breaking the law.  Mark knows a few potheads and none of them have a legitimate medical need for marijuana.  Paul's convinced that there's a stoner behind the wheel of every car going 17 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone.
