This week's One Line Monday topic was inspired by a new proposal to add wireless services to Yellowstone National Park.  Proponents of the plan claim adding wireless to the park could help locate missing hikers, assist in emergency services and make it easier for visitors to share pictures online. Opponents say adding wireless would detract from the serene nature of the park.

Can Old Faithful compete with Facebook?  The consensus among our callers this morning was "NO".

One lady wondered who was going to pay for this multi-million dollar project.  It costs enough to add wireless to your house, what would it cost to make an entire National Park wireless?  She worries that this proposal would make our parks more expensive to visit.

Another gal called in to say that making the park wireless would only discourage people from visiting.  After all, why actually get out and see it when you can see what's happening in real time on your phone.

Another caller complained, and rightfully so, that we already have too many brain dead people tapping away on their smartphones.  To her, the parks should be left alone, or as she said it, "put down your phone and hike down a trail."  Amen, sister.
