This morning, Paul unveiled his master plan to build a road that cuts throw the hills south of Billings through Edgar, MT.  If they built it right off Interstate 90 through the south hills into Wyoming, there's a lot more people who spend their money in Billings instead of Laurel or Bridger.

Of course, roads cost money to build, but Paul knows how to pay for it.  Just call it "Montana Trailhead Road" and city officials will be lining up to write the check.  Especially if we made two lanes just for bicycles.

Sure, we have more urgent priorities.  Like a better road that connects the Heights to the West End of Billings.  But Paul's convinced that Trailhead Rd. would be a rare example of highway funds being used to help travelers and local businesses.

Sadly, it'll never happen because the environmentalists will never allow another bridge over the Yellowstone River.
