Police Shooting in Montana [Opinion]

As I did the morning show today I came across a news story of an officer in Phillips County that was stabbed yesterday morning which resulted in the deputy shooting and killing the suspect.

The confrontation took place on Highway 191 near Malta yesterday morning.

I have to say that with recent events, I pray and fear for the safety of all of our law enforcement officers. I also pray that this officer will be ok.

I have watched video after video on police shootings where in most cases could have been prevented if the suspect would have simply complied. Too many think they are above the law and we are turning into a society where everyone does not respect each other and laws that have been established for a very long time.

I know most of us in Montana are smarter than some of these individuals but please respect our officers. They put a lot on the line everyday and night just to serve you and I.
