Garth Brooks got a very special New Year's gift. The country legend shared a video of a children's choir performing a moving version of his recent single, 'People Loving People.'

The video was originally shared by Gregg Breinberg, the chorus director for PS22 in Staten Island, N.Y. He coached his 65 fifth graders in a vocal version of Brooks' inspirational song, which was the lead single from 'Man Against Machine,' his first full studio album in 13 years. The uplifting track follows in the vein of some of Brooks' '90s hits like 'We Shall Be Free' with its positive message.

The kids in the chorus prove more than up to the task, performing the song with an innocent charm and accompanied by coordinated hand gestures as they make little heart shapes to underscore the song's theme.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Breinberg has become something of a minor celebrity with his PS22 chorus, previously catching the attention of Perez Hilton, Ashton Kutcher and My Chemical Romance’s Mikey Way for other songs he has taught his class.

He certainly got Brooks' attention. The country icon re-posted the video along with the message, "When we learn to love like children...just beautiful. love, g."
