Remembering a Legend: Merlyn James Hedin

A few short days ago, the media world and the world in general lost an industry legend, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Merlyn Hedin passed away April 7 after a long battle with cancer. For those of us who had the distinct pleasure to ever get to meet and work with Merlyn Hedin, you know what a truly great man he was.
Early in my radio career with Cat Country Radio, I had the honor of working with Merlyn and Rimrock Promotions during the Home Improvement Shows. To say he was a charmer and a great soul is an understatement. His smile and sense of humor is by far what I will remember most about this amazing man.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family today as we all say goodbye to a one-of-a-kind man, who we all should have had the pleasure of calling our friend. Merlyn was laid to rest today surrounded by family and friends. He will be truly missed.
