Seems like getting anywhere this year has been a real pain in the butt. Due to loose rocks on the north rim, Zimmerman Trail, home to 3000 car trips per day, was shut down for months, Montana Ave. from about Central Avenue east was closed down to one lane for a couple of months and now construction on Grand Avenue between about 20th and 24th streets and 27th Street downtown has caused slowdowns and been restricted to single lane traffic each way for several weeks now.

On Monday the City of Billings said these projects should wrap up sometime around the end of October or the start of November. So until then, you're at the mercy of the car in front of you. Hopefully next year will be much easier motoring... at least on the busiest of Billings thoroughfares.
