Roadwatch Montana – Strong Winds Blowing Snow

Motorist need to be aware of strong winds making travel difficult along I-90 from Reed Point to the Bozeman pass and along the foothills of the Beartooth mountains including the town of Nye through…strong cross winds can especially make travel difficult for high profile vehicles and towing units.

In Billings look for main streets to be clear with some secondary and neighborhood streets and avenues still icy with occasional blowing and drifting snow (in and around the Billings area).

I-90 Reed Point to the Livingston area…High gusty cross winds especially between exit 337 to 330 in the Livingston area…all high profile vehicles and towing units need to proceed with caution…occasionally, trucks will be detoured off of i-90 and through the town of Livingston “when and if” high wind conditions warrant.

I-94 from the Rosebud/Treasure county line to the Hathaway rest area…scattered snow and ice with the driving lane mostly dry with blowing and drifting snow.
