At the Rodney Atkins concert last night at the Shrine Auditorium it was obvious he is a man of the people as we heard in the song "These Are My People". On several occasions he handed his mic over to fans and let him sing the chorus of at least a few of his six number 1 hits. On others he'd just stop singing and the crowd took over into such perfect harmony that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir would be jealous. It seemed like everyone in the crowd knew every word of every song he sang... the type of honor usually bestowed on the Carrie Underwood's and George Strait's of the world.

As if he was doing his part to cement the fact that country music artists are the friendliest and the most accessible in the music industry, his meet n greet prior to the show was packed full of people and he took time to take multiple pictures with everyone, signed much more than the one item per person his handlers had dictated and was very talkative and personable. In short, the kind of guy the creates new fans one handshake, hug and picture at a time.
