Senator Jon Tester blamed The V.As failure to fill some openings with quality people on pay disparities. He’s full of crap. Just because your pay isn't as high as you would like is not an excuse to be a rotten employee. It should be the opposite, prove you are a great employee and watch your salary improve.

 

If I had someone tell me they don’t do as good a job as they could just because their pay is two dollars an hour lower than they would like, that shows me what kind of employee they are. I started here in 1986 at 600$ a month and I tried to do the best I could. I never let the pay get in my way of trying to be a valuable employee. That approach has worked well for me and would work well for others who think they just deserve it because they exist. They’ll never get anywhere...
