Thomas Rhett's wife Lauren has shared video of the first time the couple's two daughters met. It happened less than a day after she gave birth to Ada James, and while the introduction went well, Lauren reports that there is work to be done.

In a recent Instagram post shared on Lauren Akins' page, the new mother of two says they're working on the concept of "gentle" with Willa Gray, the 21-month-old daughter they adopted from Uganda earlier this year. They are all adjusting.

" ... and she's been staying with family and friends off & on especially when Thomas Rhett leaves because I think it's impossible for me to recover, take care of our 2 pups and a newborn and a 21 month old all at the same time," Lauren writes. The "Unforgettable" singer resumed touring last week and leaves again to join Kenny Chesney for back-to-back concerts in Foxboro, Mass., on Friday and Saturday (Aug. 25-26).

An admittedly tired Lauren enters the frame near the end of the video. In her caption she details a bit more about the delivery, saying that she went without sleep for about 58 hours. Ada's Aug. 12 birth came after 36 hours of labor for Mama. The couple returned home a few days later.

Since giving birth both Thomas Rhett and Lauren have resumed sharing photos and moments from their home life with fans on social media. Pictures taken immediately after birth are particularly precious, although the singer's photos of him learning to be a father to a newborn are also adorable.
