On their website, the non-partisan Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation (a think tank focusing on global health policy) posted a report from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta which shows that Montana has the 6th highest rate of death by firearm in the United States trailing only Alaska, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Wyoming. Wyoming, Montana and Alaska also have the highest percentage of households with g
Many of us like living in Montana because it's the most wild and free state in the lower 48. We are fortunate to have a huge variety of wildlife you can see on nature hikes, hunting in the back country
So I wandered down to St. Vincent's Thrift Store on Montana and 27th on my break and found this domino-like game that is obviously of some Asian origin. It was only $5 and seems to be completely intact
First off let me say I love the gym where I work out. The people couldn't be nicer and the facilities, equipment and trainers are top shelf. But nothing is perfect and in this case it's one of the two bathroom stalls in the men's locker room
We had an absolute blast at the Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex for Top Shot 2014. Thanks to our title sponsor Shipton's Big R for making this event possible and thanks to Holiday Station Stores, Fire Dragon Tactical Shooting and Grizzly Gold and Silver for their support
First thanks to Mike and Angela at the Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex for putting on a great event... Top Shot 2014 was fantastic and congrats to our champion Seth Berglee. The natural beauty of Montana was on display just a few miles south of Billings all weekend long! It's part of what makes Montana such a great place to hunt, fish, shoot, ski, hike etc
Technology is a great thing but in the hands of the wrong people it can be a menace. Enter a couple of new companies who will come to the rescue should you ever lock yourself out of your home or office
There are many flavors of potato chips that you can find in Canada (where I grew up) that are super tasty that are difficult to find here in Billings. For instance, ketchup potato chips. That might sound a bit odd but when you consider that potato chips are fried slices of potato then there's not much difference between that and fries with ketchup
I've really never understood why this is even a question. I would have thought that 100% of all humans would want the toilet paper to go over the top of the roll much in the same way that none of my fellow human beings want to be stuck in the eye with a hot poker
Usually when I hit the thrift stores here in Billings I'm looking for Mid Century Modern furniture and accessories. I love the Mad Men look and while I do buy and sell I figure if I get stuck with what I buy then it's something I'll still enjoy
As I've mentioned on this blog I frequent Montana Rescue Mission and St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Stores. The nasty, moldy table you see above was purchased at St. Vincent De Paul across the street from Cat Country on Montana Ave for a grand total of $8
