An effort is building in Congress to change U.S. marijuana laws, including moves to legalize the industrial production of hemp and establish a hefty federal pot tax.The measure would regulate marijuana the way the federal government handles alcohol and states that do legalize it would have to obtain a federal permit. Oversight of marijuana would be removed from the Drug Enforcement Administration and given to the newly renamed Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Marijuana and Firearms, and it would remain illegal to bring marijuana from a state where it’s legal to one where it isn’t.
A defense lawyer says prosecutors aren't seeking jail time for actor Stephen Baldwin, who is accused of not paying his New York income taxes for three years! I'm a funny guy! It just comes so naturally to me with my amazing jokes. But when you've been sitting across the desk from the same guy for the last 25 years, there's a slight chance that your partner might have heard one or two before.

Yesterday's 'One-Line Mondays' focused around a research project that Paul read about. A college in South Dakota is currently conducting experiments with a bio-metric purchasing technology that would allow people to identify themselves through their blood. Sounds quite futuristic doesn't it?

Paul and I got to talking about the overly complicated system that is your annual tax return. I think we can all agree that the stupid thing is more complicated than it ever should have to be. Luckily Paul has a great idea for a simple and highly visual system.
On Tuesday's call we got a request for a shout out to a gentleman who had just wrapped up 30 years at FedEx. That's a great accomplishment and one that you really just don't see much anymore these days
So as you may or may not have noticed Cat Country appears to be going through a few changes. Some we agree are for the better and others we aren't so sure about. The latest and most visual change is our new logo
On Monday's show we got to talking about the business in Europe over Horse Meat making into the Lasgana over there. Apparently Europe is a bit of the of us on the Horse cuisine curve because here in American we're still fighting our own battles over Horse Meat
