Anderson Cooper is gay.  Well, I guess you can't trust him with the news anymore.  What hogwash.

I can't believe things like this are news anymore.  What do you care who someone is with or marries? Tell me, how does it change your everyday life?  Not one bit, unless you make a point of letting it.  Why does America resist what's been going on since the dawn of time?  Gay and lesbian people should enjoy a marriage and divorce and everything that comes with it just like the rest of us.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, he says, "The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself and proud."  Now, if I went on the air and said the same thing, only substitute straight for gay, you would all wonder what I was doing.  No one should justify themselves like this.  I respect Anderson Cooper, and that's not going to change today.  In fact, I think I like him more.

America was founded by people who were sick and tired of being sick and tired.  No one tells us what to do.  One day, our kids and their kids will look back on this and see America for the fools we really are.  Seriously, look back on slavery, embarrassing.  Look back on discrimination, embarrassing.  Look back on women not voting.  Do I really need to say it?  How embarrassing!  When are we, as a whole, going to make sure this is not news?
