My wife and I both have arachnophobia, the major fear of spiders. We seem to handle then fairly well, considering.

Last week, while I was in the shower, I heard my wife scream to the top of her lungs. All I could think of was, she must be hurt, or, maybe someone had broken into the house and frightened her. Neither was the case.

I flew out of the shower, drenched , only to find her standing over a dead wolf spider that she had killed with a log from the fireplace. This is pretty much the norm when a spider arrives in our home. It's not fun, but it is life as we know it.

Apparently we are not the only ones.

A London woman is blaming her car crash on a spider. She slammed into a lamppost after the spider started crawling on her. No one was seriously injured.

The Dorset, England police Tweeted: ''Driver was distracted by a spider in the car, could of been another car that was hit not a lamppost #noexcuse''

"Do you know someone, who crashed because they were distracted by a spider, pet or something else? What happened?"
