Octogenarian George Jones has had quite the roller coaster of health news this year. The legendary singer was released from the hospital at the beginning of this month after being treated for an upper respiratory infection. At that point, he planned on jumping back into his tour, but then two weeks ago he had to follow doctor’s orders to postpone a set of weekend shows. Still, the ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today’ singer was determined to jump right back in, assuring his fans that he was on the mend and ready to rock.

Country legend Willie Nelson has been forced to postpone back-to-back shows this week due to an unspecified illness. A statement on his website only explained Thursday night’s postponement in Washington D.C., saying, “The show tonight at 9:30 Club has been postponed due to illness. The upper respiratory infection that resulted in Allman canceling four June shows in Europe hasn’t cleared up. So that means he’s pulling the plug on the rest of his North American concerts that were scheduled from late August to mid-September.
