I can't imagine what it would be like to have a DMV that is actually... fast. The Billings DMV is trying to audition for the part of Flash in Zootopia.
It turns out there are a lot of supercar owners in Montana. Kind of. You see, they don't actually live in the Treasure State, but their cars are registered here. Why do you think that is?
We were talking this morning about being able to renew your driver's license somewhere other than in person and why you couldn't do it yet. Well, guess what? You can actually renew by mail!
I told Mark the eye test doesn't matter. There has never been an accident caused by a person who was not able to read the third line of the eye test at the license bureau...

I just popped in there during the noon hour and got my driver's license renewed in no time, with no wait, at MVD Express Montana near Costco in Billings. The DMV may be closed for Columbus Day, but MVD Express is open till 6. Get your REAL ID and your title work all in the same location.

First of all, that $5.00 you see on the line for MHP (Montana Highway Patrol) is paying for the retirement of MHP officers in Montana. I have nothing against these folks, but the fact that I pay 5 bucks to their retirement ( and that's five bucks for EVERY vehicle that you license in MT) is not only unfair,
I have no problem paying my fair share of taxes for the services the government provides... roads, bridges, police and fire departments, national defense, social safety net, food safety, pollution control etc. etc. What I do have a problem with however is getting taxed for paying my taxes...
