It's been a long and understandably difficult week for Eli Young Band bassist Jon Jones, whose father died last week. Allen Edwin Jones passed away in Ft. Worth, Texas last Monday, Oct. 8, after losing a long battle with lung cancer.

Eli Young Band spent their Monday afternoon celebrating their latest chart-topping hit, ‘Even if It Breaks Your Heart.’ The band, as well as the song’s two writers — Eric Paslay and Will Hoge — gathered at Nashville’s CMA headquarters to honor the song and all the key people who helped take it all the way to the top.

A baby girl has officially joined Eli Young Band‘s brood. Frontman Mike Eli and his wife, Kacey, welcomed Kline Olivia Diaz on Monday (July 30) in Dallas. The little girl, who is the first child for the couple, weighed in at 6 lbs. and 15 oz. She was expected to arrive in August.

The Eli Young Band boys are riding a major wave of success as of late. After scoring their first No. 1 hit when single ‘Crazy Girl’ climbed to the top of the charts, the foursome started to see some forward momentum. And it doesn’t sound like the band has plans to slow down any time soon.
