It's less than a week until the Montana Grizzlies arrive in Bozeman to battle the Montana State Bobcats in the annual Brawl of the Wild. Time to get geared up!
For the last several years, I've had a friendly bet on the big game with a guy in Kentucky. We grew up together and for as long as I've known him, he has never had any interest in football. Since he doesn't know the Browns from the Bears, he always lets me take my pick for the bet. So far, I've lost every bet. All of them.
Last week I told you about a brewery in Chicago that was offering people a chance to make the 43 yard field goal that Bears kicker, Cody Parkey missed. I'm sure that from your recliner or in a video game kicking a 43 yard field goal seems easy, but apparently it's not. More than 100 people tried; zero succeeded.
It's not unusual for armchair athletes to mock the guys on the field, but in this case a Chicago Brewery is asking people to prove they could do better. Goose Island Brewery is building a field goal in front of their offices and giving people a chance to kick a field goal from 43 yards.
It's going to be another weekend for me without pro football.ย If your team loses they can blame their uniforms and the team colors.ย It will be a while before they win me back, too many other options.
Have a great weekend.

Does anyone out there know why School District 2 continues to schedule varsity football games on Friday afternoons? It makes no sense at all. Parents are working, people who want to go are working, the kids from the other school have to miss class time in order to get here...
