Local hockey fans can interact with professional players from the Vegas Golden Knights today (Tuesday, August 5) from 10am to 11:30am at Centennial Ice Arena, 427 Bench Blvd. in Billings.
The threat of snow this weekend won't stop us from getting out for basketball playoffs, boats and a glow-in-the-dark spectacle you have to see to believe.
They are floating around the idea, again, of bringing minor league hockey to Billings. Officials said it would take about a 3.5 million dollar investment in ice equipment and preparations.

I see that some in Billings are trying to rally support for another hockey team. The question is, can we support it without a influx of tax dollars? We have tried football and hockey before and it can't seem to survive.
With so much competition for your entertainment dollar a sustained hockey franchise would be difficult...
I saw that there was an OUTDOOR hockey tournament over the weekend held outdoors on the ice of Seeley lake. They had to push back the start time due to the temperature being 23 degrees BELOW zero earlier in the day.
The team from Helena won the tournament and the Seeley Cup...
