Lady Antebellum's 'Own the Night' Album Goes Platinum

After only four weeks on the shelves, Lady Antebellum‘s latest album, ‘Own the Night,’ has been certified platinum by the RIAA for sales of one million copies. The hit album has produced two smash singles, including the lead-off release and multi-week No. 1 ‘Just a Kiss’ and their latest Top 10 song, ‘We Owned the Night.’

In what might be the least surprising debut of the year, Lady Antebellum‘s new album has ended its first week at the top of the charts — pretty much all of them, in fact.

With sales of nearly 350,000 units, ‘Own the Night’ outpaced its competition by a wide margin, coming in at number one on the country charts, as well as Billboard’s overall Top 200 tally. As an added bonus, it also topped the album sales charts in Canada.

When Lady Antebellum returns with its third album, ‘Own the Night,’ on September 13, the country trio will kick off a major promotional campaign that will see them on the road, on TV (including a performance on ‘Saturday Night Live’), and, of course, all over the radio.
