February 16, 2012 This morning, the Breakfast Flakes discussed New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's decision to have flags flown at half-staff Saturday for Whitney Houston. Christie has strongly defended his decision, despite Houston's struggles with substance abuse. Paul did some research and found the official guidelines on what warrants the flag being lowered to half-staff. January 19, 2012 On Wednesday, the Obama administration rejected a bid from TransCanada to build the Keystone XL Pipeline, an oil pipeline linking Alberta to refineries in the Gulf of Mexico. The $7 billion, four year project was estimated to create thousands of jobs, has been delayed due to a lack of environment studies surrounding the project.
