It's kind of like an airbag you put on the outside of your vehicle when a thunderstorm is rolling in. We're... intrigued.

Conditions seem uncomfortably similar to last year's weather event that caused historic flooding in communities across south-central Montana.

An entire property's worth of branches and large tree limbs are nearly impossible to cram into your puny little trash cans. The City of Billings Public Works Department has scheduled special storm debris collection dates, beginning Saturday morning 7/30.

Billings weather is expected to go from warm to cool this weekend, with a chance for some severe thunderstorms tonight (Friday 5/7), according to the National Weather Service.

If you're headed to MontanaFair or have other outdoor events planned for Sunday (8/11), keep an eye on the weather. Severe weather is possible for Billings and the surrounding area through tonight.

Afternoon storms on Thursday (6/27) will have the potential for up to baseball-sized hail and maximum winds of 80mph according to the Hazardous Weather Outlook.

After four days above 80 degrees, the Magic City will experience a huge temperature drop and what could be a soggy couple of weeks.

We've had enough bad weather lately. Many of Billings fine citizens are still bailing out their basements from the flash flooding that occurred about 10 days ago. So this afternoon when I was on the air I looked out the window from here on top of the Crowne Plaza and saw lightning north and west of the airport...
