Tim McGraw‘s old record label is letting the songs from the embattled ‘Emotional Traffic’ album trickle out one at a time. Just weeks ago, ‘Better Than I Used to Be‘ was released as a single within hours of a judge’s decision to separate the parties. Now, the song ‘Right Back Atcha Babe’ is available on iTunes.
Now that Tim McGraw has officially parted ways with Curb Records, he’s searching for his next big deal and big contract. While the singer will release an independent single to radio in January, he’s been window shopping at the biggest labels in Nashville.

In the early fall of 2010, Tim McGraw submitted his final version of a new record called ‘Emotional Traffic’ to Curb Records. The first single, ‘Felt Good on My Lips,’ dropped soon after, but no word came out about an album release date. Then, just hours after a court ruled this week (Nov. 30) that McGraw was free to sign with another label, Curb let the second single, ‘Better Than I Used to Be,’ hit the airwaves almost a year after the first single was released — and now they’ve announced a release date for the full album.
It seems that Tim McGraw‘s next 30 years will be even sweeter than the last. A judge has ruled in favor of the ‘Felt Good on My Lips’ hitmaker in his legal battle with Curb Records, which means that the chains have been cut and he’s free to record new music apart from the label.

Tim McGraw is still searching for greener pastures. The iconic country singer is seeking to cut ties with his record label, Curb Records, once and for all, just so he can have the freedom to get new music to his patiently waiting fans. McGraw and Curb will go face to face in court starting Tuesday to hopefully find a resolution.
Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw met and became friends on the road ten years ago, and the two country superstars promise they’ll be having as much fun as fans when they reunite to kick off the Brothers of the Sun Tour next summer.
