One morning in July, John Benton’s pit bull Titan began acting strange, and wouldn’t let Benton leave the house to go to work. Benton eventually followed the pooch’s lead to his upstairs bedroom where he found his wife Gloria, who had just suffered a brain aneurysm, laying on the floor and bleeding from a fractured skull.

Looks like we have a brand new candidate for dumbest criminal ever. Patrick Johnson robbed two banks in the Ocala, FL area in one day. The thief had the presence of mind to change his wardrobe  between his crimes, but his method of sticking up the banks — a note stating he had a gun — was the same both times.

As a way to better understand the hardships that overweight people face, personal trainer Drew Manning packed on a whopping 70 lbs. over a period of six months by forgoing exercise and eating nothing but junk food. Now that’s dedication!

The late Patrick Swayze’s Johnny Castle character from ‘Dirty Dancing’ has been immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds Hollywood. Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi, who was on hand for the unveiling, posed with the statue, recreating a scene in which Johnny taught Jennifer Grey’s Baby character the importance of balance in dance.

In a White House briefing held Friday, President Obama announced the remaining American troops in Iraq will be home by the end of the year, closing a war effort there that has killed more than 4,400 US servicepeople and wounded 32,000 more since 2003. “After nine years, America’s war in Iraq will be over,” the president said.

At a probation hearing today, a judge ordered Lindsay Lohan back to jail with $100,000 bail, for continuous probation violations. Lohan arrived at court this morning to update Judge Sautner on her compliance to the terms and conditions of her probation. Sautner then revoked Lohan’s probation, citing her bad behavior and lack of hours served.
