Sparks will fly at the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, and not just because it's the nation's largest patriotic pyrotechnic display. 'Sparks Fly' singer and global superstar Taylor Swift has been added to the lineup.

She'll join labelmate Tim McGraw, who is headlining the event with Mariah Carey. Also stepping onstage will be Cher, Pitbull and Swift's pal Selena Gomez, with Usher curating the overall design of the two-hour special.

Swift's Independence Day will likely be quite difference than last year, when she took in the fireworks with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Patrick and went sailing with the iconic Kennedy family. While she probably had butterflies in her stomach being around the famous family, this year, she may have butterflies for a different reason -- performing for the nation's 237th birthday.

We're not sure what will be louder -- the 40,000 booming pyrotechnics over the Hudson River, or the screaming Swift fans. If we had to bet, we'd put money on the 'Red' hitmaker's devoted Swifties.

Can't make it to the star-studded event? You can tune in from the comfort of your living room. Hosted by Nick Cannon of NBC’s 'America’s Got Talent,' the two-hour Macy's July 4 show will air from 8PM-10PM ET on NBC, with a special encore presentation of the second hour at 10PM.
