The Affordable Care Act, Is It Really Affordable?
So as I am watching the news this weekend, the topic of conversation seemed to be the Affordable Care Act, or Obama-care as we have come to to know it as.
Watching both sides debate each other on the subject gives me a headache. And before you assume that I was watching a right wing network, I was watching CNN.
Why can’t we just have a simple plan that we as tax payers can read and understand, not the two thousand plus bill that has huge tax increases built into it.
Also we were told we would be getting a refund from the insurance companies and that our premiums would go down.
Yes I know that it promises that if you have a preexisting conditions you can’t be turned down and that all of the uninsured Americans will be able to afford insurance.
I find it interesting that the Government gets to basically opt out and now the head of the corrupt IRS doesn’t want to have to use Obama-care, and his organization is supposed to be enforcing it.
I can not make heads or tails of this bill, but I can tell you that it scares the hell out of me because, I have family and friends who are small business owners and my parents are older and on Medicare and are already finding it harder to find health care providers that are taking Medicare.
I have friends who are doctors who are closing their practices and I wonder if the younger supports of this law get that they will carry the burden of the higher taxes and premiums.
Bottom line we all see this bill in different ways and understand it, or don’t understand it.
I guess we all need to glean what is good about the bill and bad about the bill and try to live with it (for now)
How do you feel about Obama-care?
