Scientists have officially confirmed what many Cat Country listeners have suspected for a long time, Mark and Paul have brain damage.

According to a new sleep study from the University of Pennsylvania, chronically sleep deprived people might actually be developing brain injuries over time. In Mark and Paul's case, that's 26 years of waking up at 3:30 in the morning.

Researchers say that sleep deprivation commonly results in shorter attention spans.  And now, it's all starting to make perfect sense.  What's even worse, the study also proves that people who wake up early in the morning never really catch up on sleep, even if they take daily naps.
