The Da’ Bears are Back!

If you missed the Breakfast Flakes on Friday, here’s what you missed!
The Bears are waking up early in Yellowstone! If you are planning a spring visit to the park be sure to bring your awareness and your bear spray and travel in groups of three. Apparently people in pairs are attractive food for bears as opposed to people with pears. Skiers, hikers, and really anybody who is in the park needs to be especially careful. Bears will be looking for food, including elk and bison carcasses from animals that have died over the winter. Park officials remind you to keep 100 yards between you and any Bear. Apparently being 99 yards away makes you fair game. That extra three feet will keep you safe. The best defense is to stay safe and use binoculars, a telescope or telephoto lens to get a closer look.
